Dewsbury Townscape Heritage

In 2013, Kirklees Council were awarded £2million by the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of a Townscape Heritage Initiative to improve key buildings in the north of the town centre. Studio Dekka worked with council officers in concept development and installation for a series of short-term projects that aimed to establish the potential for the initiative. These projects were used as exemplars in the final successful application and suggest ways in which the town centre may be re-enlivened after dark.
