Public realm and architectural feature lighting , 2011-2012.
The A1010 Corridor was the focus of the London Borough of Enfield’s successful Outer London Fund Round One bid. The scheme aims to make select public realm enhancements across five town centres – Enfield Wash, Enfield Highway, Ponders End, Edmonton Green and Edmonton Angel – linked by the A1010 road.
Studio Dekka was part of the design team headed by Landolt + Brown and Muf Architecture/Art. We delivered a series of temporary lighting interventions that preceded permanent installations aimed at enlivening key civic buildings, road junctions and pedestrian routes throughout the project area. A key concept of the scheme was the Carnegie library motto ‘Let There Be Light”.
